Our clients wanted colour without chaos — a home that felt considered rather than themed. We built a light, neutral shell of soft grey and warm wood, then let deep teal, dusty rose and terracotta take over one wall at a time, so every room has its own mood while the whole flat still hangs together.
Rather than paint every wall, we ran a deep teal wainscot at sofa height around the living room, capped with a slim rose pinstripe. It grounds the space and sets off a sunburst clock and warm leather armchairs, while the upper walls stay light so the room never feels boxed in.

A glass-block wall screens the hallway to the bedrooms while still passing daylight through, and sets up the reveal of a rose-pink ensuite with a backlit brass mirror and patterned tile floor.

A built-in window daybed with drawer storage below frees up the floor for play, while a corner desk and open shelving give a small astronaut collection somewhere to live. Soft grey walls keep it calm enough for homework and sleep alike.

"Every room has its own personality now, but it still feels like one home. We didn't think that was possible in an HDB."
