The brief was restraint: a soft grey and white palette, warm walnut cladding, and enough negative space for a single mauve velvet sofa to do the talking. Sheer curtains keep the double-height windows glowing through the day, while a book-matched marble wall anchors the television end of the room.

Living, dining and the staircase now read as a single volume. A floating walnut console and recessed display niches break up the long run of white cabinetry, while black stone nesting tables and a curved steel stair add quiet contrast against the marble and pale stone flooring.
